Closing party for the exhibition, AHOL SNIFFS GLUE CYBER TRAP BOUTIQUE

"We bringing some beach sand as a humble offering from the Bermuda triangle.. I want to reinforce the humble nature and importance of this invasion. Conveying this symbolic gesture and explaining its intentions will hopefully bring attention to the importance of supporting local artists.

"The giant roach piñata is another attempt at reinforcing the importance on giving back. I want to bring attention to the importance of supporting local artists. Same with the entertainment Booking Natalie from NTS Radio was another gesture of pushing the morals we believe in. Miami hates out-of-towners and Basel cause they are left out. It’s hip to hate. I don’t support that. But I can bring it to light that we identify with the general lack of being included and forgotten for the out of town invasion. Superficially the cyber trap is just a pop up, but at its core it’s a borderless, DIY, polished punk rock attack. The carrot we hang to lure the masses isn’t for looks. It’s to be chased and eaten.

Superchief has built something that is seriously raising the bar on antiquated art representation. Y'all are making noise with genuine blue collar hustle. The toy at the bottom of the cereal box is non-existent. And replaced by codes and boring info catching methods that killed the thrill. These hoops we are making with this show also show your understanding of bringing the out-of-towners you fuck with to another arena.

Imma quit typing now. I feel like a roach loving activist explaining a bad joke. Maybe we can print these texts and make a Ahol Sniffs Glue and Loves Roaches."

About Ahol Sniffs Glue:

Ahol, whose raw yet instantly recognizable street murals evaporate the divide between high and low art, often jumbles disparate themes from mass media, popular culture and marginalized pockets of society.

He often draws inspiration from the urban environment and systems of society which dehumanize its inhabitants. Ahol’s deceptively simple, yet complex renderings both portray the veneer of our everyday surroundings and the dull, job-related conflicts often encountered in a dysfunctional workplace.

The South Florida native is best known for his soaring urban murals depicting expansive fields of drowsy eyes, reflecting his unique vision of life, labor and unrequited love of the mean streets of Miami.
